Days of Witchery: 7. Air Element.

If you surrendered to the air, you could ride it. ~ Toni Morrison

Air, something we all breathe in, everyday, often without even thinking about. Invisible life. Perhaps it’s our inability to see and touch it that we humans pollute it so. Most people are too stressed and in a hurry to just stop.

Stop in the street, or anywhere really, and just take a deep breath, feeling the air soaring into your lungs. Just stand there and let the air gently lift you hair and caress your skin. That is something we forget and some people won’t notice it until it’s gone.

So if beloved Lady Air takes her hand from us, it will not be long before all regret the hurt we’ve caused her.

The record for holding one breath is 19 minutes and 21 seconds.

How long will you survive?

Fairy Quote

The fairy poet takes a sheet
Of moonbeam, silver white;
His ink is dew from daisies sweet,
His pen a point of light.
~Joyce Kilmer
